Website terms of use
The terms that apply to this website. Our terms of engagement for actual collection work are agreed separately and in writing.
About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Northland Debt Collection website. By using the site you accept them.
Information on this site is general
The content here — including anything said about debt recovery, limitation periods, credit listings, process serving or licensing — is general information, not legal advice. It cannot take account of your circumstances.
Debt recovery outcomes depend on facts specific to each file: the age of the debt, the terms it arose under, whether it is disputed, and the debtor’s financial position. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of any particular result.
If you need advice on your situation, speak to us directly or consult a solicitor.
Our fees
The commission rate published on this site (20% of amounts recovered, plus disbursements) reflects our standard terms. The rate that applies to your file is the one confirmed to you in writing before we begin work. Where the two differ, the written engagement terms prevail.
Terms of engagement are separate
Using this site does not create a client relationship. Instructing us on a debt or a service of documents is governed by our terms of engagement, which are provided and agreed separately.
External links
We link to third-party sites, including government and regulatory sources. We are not responsible for their content and a link is not an endorsement.
Intellectual property
The content, layout and design of this site belong to Northland Debt Collection. Please do not reproduce substantial parts of it without permission.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published on this site. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those apply.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the current one.
